What is an access kiosk?

An access kiosk is a self-service terminal that allows visitors, suppliers, employees, or contractors to register, identify themselves, or log in before gaining access to a building or premises. The kiosk often serves as the first point of contact at a reception or entry point. By combining various technologies—such as QR scanners, badge readers, printers, and touchscreens—a large part of the reception process can be automated.
