What is the difference between a laser scanner and photocell protection?

A photoelectric sensor operates using a fixed infrared beam between two points and detects when this beam is interrupted. A laser scanner, on the other hand, analyzes an entire detection zone and therefore offers greater flexibility in configuration. This allows multiple detection functions to be combined within a single system.
